Changing Cities is an independent Planning and Development Consultancy based in London. The Company was established in 2012 and focuses on:

OUR WORK

Our work is cross-sector including housing, economic development, tourism, transport and infrastructure, green infrastructure and environment. Above all we understand the importance of context and recognise the need for a holistic approach to development.

We are skilled in managing and motivating multi-disciplinary teams to address complex urban development and design issues. We can work as part of larger multi-disciplinary teams, providing expert advice or can bring together teams of international experts to meet our clients’ requirements.

We operate at different scales and have extensive experience of working with the public and private sectors in the UK and overseas. Overseas experience includes work in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, China and Europe including projects for the United Nations, European Union and World Bank.

MEET THE DIRECTOR

Joanna Chambers
BA BTP MRTPI

The Director of Changing Cities Joanna Chambers has over 30 years’ experience of working in planning and development in the public and private sectors. She has been responsible for a range of planning, masterplanning, urban design and regeneration work in the UK and overseas, focusing on the preparation of masterplans, development feasibility studies, regeneration strategies, project management and public consultation and participation. She is a member of the Council of the Architectural Association School and a Trustee of the Covent Garden Area Trust.
